Our 20L Plastic Honey Settling Tank with Honey Gate. (36cm Deep)
Together with:
A Stainless Steel Double Honey Strainer and Flat & Serrated Uncapping Knife
This Double Honey Strainer measures about 24cm in diameter.
It has adjustable arms that extend to about 38cm to fit nearly any size settling tank and is comprised of 2 separate strainers that can be taken apart.
The Uncapping Knife is Flat on 1 side and serrated on the other.
The top strainer has a mesh size of 1.5mm and catches larger bits, like lumps of wax and bees !
The bottom strainer catches any smaller particles and has a mesh size of 0.5mm
When you are ready to jar up the honey, warm it in a warming cabinet and strain into the settling tank and leave to settle for 24 hours.
Then with the settling tank in position, the honey gate can be opened sufficiently to allow the honey to run into the jars.
The rubber 'o' ring on the gate form a good seal when shutting the gate.
